1/31/18 - Reading "The Sound Effects Bible"

I may have found my new posting style for subjects that could sort of encroach upon copyright issues (such as reading and writing about what I read in a book on a daily basis).  Here's a basic template:

Read ??? pages today.  Topics included:

• Topic 1
• Topic 2
• Etc.

The remainder of today's post will be a test run in my new minimal style.  Here we go:

Read 8 pages today.  A full short chapter on gathering sound effects.  Topics included:

• Choosing the right location
• How time of day affects sounds
• Background environment noise, avoid or embrace
• Verify authorization/safety/restrictions with site owners
• Know what you want to record beforehand, but allow for on set creativity
